Dr. Ana Rosa De Sousa Resendes DVM, MSc, PhD, Diplomate ACVP – (Anatomic Pathology)

Dr. Resendes was a DVM graduated from the University of Lisbon in Portugal and was certified as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologist in 2016 after completing a senior residency in Anatomic Pathology in the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Utrecht University and finishing her PhD at the Department of Veterinary Pathology at the Veterinary School in the Barcelona Autonomous University, where she was an assistant lecturer for 5 years and participated at the diagnostic pathology service of the Veterinary Pathology Department.

Dr. Resendes has been the recipient of several research grant awards for projects as a postdoctoral fellow for the study of pathogenesis of viral diseases and has several peer-reviewed publications and actively participated in conference publications. She worked as a senior lecturer in veterinary anatomic pathologist at Surrey University and at IDEXX Laboratories in the UK. Currently she works as a free consultant veterinary pathologist and runs her own diagnostic service in Portugal. Her areas of interest include dermatopathology, infectious diseases and mammary gland pathology. She is a member of the International Society of Veterinary Dermatopathology (ISVD), the ACVP and the Davis-Thompson Foundation.
