Dr. Jennifer Neel, BS, DVM, Dipl ACVP (Clinical Pathology)
Assistant Dean of Student Development, Professor of Veterinary Clinical Pathology
Jennifer Neel is originally from Phoenix, Arizona, USA and graduated from Arizona State University with a BS in agribusiness. She completed her veterinary degree at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and her residency and instructorship in veterinary clinical pathology at NC State, College of Veterinary Medicine, Raleigh, NC, USA. In 2002, she was board certified by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in clinical pathology.
Jennifer was a faculty member at NC State, College of Veterinary Medicine from 2003-2022 and served as the Assistant Dean of Student Development from 2017-2022. In 2020, she completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Education through the Royal Veterinary College of London.
She is passionate about diagnostic cytopathology, enjoys teaching, particularly hematology and cytology, and has authored several publications and book chapters on these topics. Jennifer has presented extensively on various clinical pathology topics including five international conferences on cytology for veterinary practitioners. She has also been recognized for her excellence in student teaching by NC State.
She joined Antech in November, 2021 and was appointed Assistant Director of Clinical Pathology in March, 2022. Currently, she resides in Tucson, Arizona, USA with her husband and small herd of cats. Jennifer enjoys cooking, reading, learning more about the animals and plants of the American Southwest and aspires to have more hobbies!
