Dr. Meera Surendran Nair, DVM, MS, Ph.D, DiplACVM (Microbiology, Immunology)
Dr. Nair serves as Director of Clinical Microbiology for Antech. She has Master’s, Ph.D., and Postdoc experience in Veterinary Microbiology and Animal Infectious Diseases. Before joining Antech in 2023, she was a faculty at Penn State Animal Diagnostic Laboratory since 2019, where she oversaw Bacteriology and Molecular Diagnostic Divisions. She is passionate about bringing new diagnostic solutions and collaborating in creating diagnostic ways to promote antimicrobial stewardship.
Dr. Nair worked closely with animal owners, veterinarians, and infectious disease pathologists to develop, validate and deploy microbiologic/molecular diagnostic tests to meet their unmet animal health needs. She has over ten years of research experience in Animal Health and Microbiology and has authored around 50 peer-reviewed publications.
