Dr. Myriam Baranger-Ete graduated from Maisons-Alfort National Veterinary University (France) in 1998 then completed a year externship at the Equine hospital of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Saint-Hyacinthe, University of Montreal (Canada). She completed her thesis with honours in equine locomotor pathology and diagnostic ultrasound in 1999.
A move to Hong Kong in 1999 brought her back to Canine and Feline Medicine and she completed the Distance Education Small Animal Sonology Course with the Post-Graduation Foundation of the University of Sydney in 2008, as well as a European Master of Small Animal Veterinary Medicine with the ESAVS (European School for Advanced Veterinary Studies), with the University of Luxemburg. During this training, Dr Myriam realized that an early and accurate diagnosis was key for any therapeutic success and she became passionate and obsessed about Diagnostics since then.
After intensive training, she focused on providing referral ultrasound services and promoting ultrasound education in Asia; co-founding Hong Kong mobile veterinary ultrasound service in 2013, then developing the services together with her local partners in Singapore and Malaysia.
Dr Myriam also co-founded Hong Kong first Veterinary Specialty laboratory back in 2013. Service was rebranded as “Asia Veterinary Diagnostics” when AVD laboratory started to serve Singapore and Malaysia veterinary community as well in 2016. AVD Laboratories joined Antech in 2020.
Today, Dr Myriam is thrilled to continue actively developing Advanced Diagnostics in the region and to be able to continue supporting her veterinary colleagues with their diagnostic needs so that they can provide nothing but best level of cares to their patients, as Antech Senior Director for International Operations.
